This has been an unusual winter – Squaw Valley recorded it’s most snow ever. We had three climax avalanches at Crystal Mountain taking down mature trees. Here is a New York Times editorial discussing some of the hindrances to behavior change and scientific progress towards a better understanding of our planet.

Greetings from the Backstrom Family. And a special thanks to those individuals and families who have contributed to the fund. Our IRS application for 501c3 Exempt status was approved, effective October 14th , 2010. Donations on or after that date are deductible.

Arne had an idea for a better ski which Blizzard implemented called Flip Core Technology.
